We have so many products that I think it would get a bit hectic selling them on the web. To be honest, I'm not a fan of general internet shopping as it damages the small independent retailer, killing small local high street shops. We've seen at least 6 independent shops vanish from Ringwood in the last 6 months, replaced by chain stores and many of these claim internet sales to have been their demise. A friend of mine argues her point, that to survive on the high street, you have to have sales that back up your day to day sales (eg. internet sales), or you're a gonner. She is right, turnover has to be almighty to survive the ravishes of the high street. This can be hard to achieve.So, I've decided that I can only support internet shopping when
it supports
life in towns rather than eliminates life in towns. Also, if you want to support ethical or small specialist companies and can't get the products locally then internet shopping is one way of achieving this goal. Or if you have a disability that prevents you shopping then internet shopping is ok too. Apart from that, its just balmy. You mad internet shoppers, who buy lots on line when you can get it locally probably won't agree with me, but ironically will be sad when your last small independent shop just vanishes.
